8. Recognize the Latino bienvenido, welcoming, inclusive spirit
9. Celebrate la vida, nature, and that amor comes in all colors
10. Connect to the Cursillo movement, a Catholic spiritual renewal

Why Do Peoples Have Anthems?

National anthems are a source of identity, history, and shared values. They infuse pride, belonging, and emotional connection. Such is the Black National Anthem, "Lift Every Voice and Sing," adopted in 1919. The song is a source of hope, resilience, and unity.

De Colores: Connecting Cultural Pride with Social Justice and Human Rights

In the 1960s, the United Farm Workers marched from Delano to Sacramento demanding justice for farmworkers. During this 25-day pilgrimage, they sang De Colores. It became a symbol of:
